How to remove the Gemini watermark from a video, step by step

Videos made with Gemini and Veo usually carry a small four-pointed sparkle in the bottom-right corner. It is semi-transparent and white, and it sits in exactly the same place in every frame. This guide shows how to remove it cleanly, without a blurred patch, a crop or a drop in quality.

What you need

  • The original video file you downloaded (MP4, MOV or WebM). Use the original rather than a screen recording or a re-upload: every extra round of compression makes the logo’s edge fuzzier.
  • A computer with a recent Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox work for most files too.
  • The right to edit the video: you made it, or its owner agreed.

Step 1: Open the remover and add your video

Open the ClearFrame remover and drag your video onto the page, or click Choose files. Nothing is uploaded: the video is read straight from your disk by your browser.

Step 2: Let it find the logo

ClearFrame looks at frames from across the whole video and finds the sparkle by its shape. Once found, a dashed box marks it on the preview and the panel says Sparkle logo found. It then measures the logo’s exact opacity in your file, pixel by pixel, which takes a few seconds.

If the box lands in the wrong place (rare, but possible with a busy picture right behind the logo), drag a new box around the logo on the preview. Make it a little larger than the logo.

Step 3: Check the preview

The two zoomed views under the preview show the logo area before and after, at several times its real size. Move the timeline slider to look at different moments, and switch on Show original to flip between the two. This is the best way to judge the result before spending time on the full video.

Step 4: Pick the quality

Changing pixels means the video has to be encoded again. Maximum uses about 2.5 times the original bitrate so the re-encoding can’t be seen; High makes smaller files that still look the same at normal viewing sizes. Either way the resolution, frame rate and number of frames stay the same, and the audio is copied untouched.

Step 5: Remove the logo and download

Click Remove logo. Every frame is processed in turn; a progress bar shows how far it has got. When it says Done, click the download icon next to the file. The cleaned video is saved as yourvideo-clean.mp4 next to your other downloads.

Tips for the best result

  • Keep your original. ClearFrame writes a new file and never changes the one you added.
  • Several videos? Drop them all in at once. See how batch mode works.
  • Very dark scenes are handled with a separate correction that the tool measures from your video’s own dark frames.
  • Long or 4K videos take longer and need more memory. Close other heavy tabs, and plug your laptop in.

Before you publish

Removing the visible logo does not change where the video came from. AI videos also carry invisible watermarks such as SynthID, which ClearFrame doesn’t touch, and many platforms ask you to label realistic AI content. Read what removing the logo does and doesn’t do and how to label AI content on each platform.
